Does any body know or uses any Gross beat alternatives to achieve that metro boomin / tm88 vinyl scratch effect? 25th July Lel UDS Drums Free VSTi Rated 5 out of. Having forked out for FL studio I'm not in a financial position to pay the extra for Gross Beat. However having tried the demo I really like it. Maybe I'll save up but in the meantime is there a cheaper or freeware alternative? I have DB Glitch and Livecut but both of them, whilst very good don't have the same features. In addition to the gating possibilities afforded by the spline based envelope, Gross Beat is perfect for side-chain effects without the need to link to an audio source. Just select one of the ducking-style presets for instant side-chain pumping.
